“ June 2024 Not a fancy place (inside or out), but the prices are cheap, the restaurant is clean, and the service was fast. A hugh menu. This place has probably been here a long time as there was a constant number of customers eating in the restaurant, and they were busy with takeout orders. Would definitely return here for another meal. ”
“ phenomenal, family run Chinese restaurant serving Cabbagetown for years. excellent food quality and competitive prices. they make one of the best Singapore style noodles, super tasty chicken wings and fried fish as well. portions are plentiful and the owners are wonderful. highly recommend! ”
“ Tender trap is a STAPLE in the area. Nothing bad on the menu. I've probably tried everything now. They're also super friendly and give off a warm family vibe. Eating a dish from tender trap is like being transported back to a time when Chinese food meant something different and despite how much the neighborhood has changed around them, they've stayed true to who they are and what they do well: Providing affordable food and outstanding value to the families of Cabbagetown, st James town and beyond. ”
“ The food was amazing and the portion was super generous. We ordered one main dish each with a soup but could barely finish everything. The General Tao Chicken was really good, I love the sauce and the chicken itself was also decent. The signature fried noodles were great, it was the exact amount of guilty pleasure with the expected greasiness and explosion of flavours with generous meat toppings. 10/10 will come back for more. ”
“ Giving a star each for big portions, incredible pricing, decent service, free delivery, and arriving earlier than expected. Food wasn't my cup of tea since I thought it lacked flavor and was slightly bland. But I guess this is more authentic and healthy. ”
“ High quality food and good portions. General Tao chicken had good flavour and wasn't overly breaded. Loved the Chinese greens dish! It had big pieces of bok choy. Fried rice was nice as well, didn't taste old or dry. The black bean beef could have used a bit more flavour but the pieces of beef were good quality, and it had a good assortment of vegetables including zucchini, carrot and onion. Delivery was quick by the restaurant itself. Food wasn't too greasy. Glad I found this place. Looking forward to ordering again and telling others about it. ”
“ Tender Trap, located on Parliament Street in Toronto, is a great little establishment where I travel to grab meals that are my favorite. The salmon, rice, and vegetables and the must have tender trap meals . delicious, and the service is good and most definitely the prices are good . ”
“ I used to live around here 8-9 years ago and this place fed me all the time. All this time later, still incredible value, good portions. Lovely lady at the counter. Some affordable places fill you up but you don't feel right as you digest the food. This is not one of those places. ”
